Writing on the wall... and ceiling
yes I did leave a print on the ceiling, but I had to put it up on the lower part so I could reach it better! Sorry guys - I couldn't spend eternity with your prints :(-- but I am still nearby!
Plus, I left my prints other places as well!!

In loving memory of ME at the Print Shop
Ok so... I am officially kicked out of the UWL printshop, and now I realize that I have no life- cuz all I did was eat, print and watch movies alone!
So the story on the Bob Ross shirt-- I bought one for Joel and one for me that I wore on the day I gave him his-- I got an F that day, but it's been in the shop ever since! I Rule!
These pics are from the senior exhibition. That's me and Robyn and then me and Lance- he helped me frame that huge mongo piece there.
And here I am caressing the giant wheel press for one last time- sad Tears flowed that night.

Moku Hanga (moku=wood hanga=print)
This is a woodblock print by Lynita Shimizu- http://shimizuwoodcuts.com/ -- I loved her use of color in her work-- every print had a different array of vibrant colors-
Her work is very inspiring- I loved looking through her gallery because her work is diverse, yet all in the same medium. It showcased the fact that you can (if you so choose) stick to one path of art and still create a widely diverse collection of images. Plus, I am in love with the idea of woodblock printing, I just haven't gotten there yet-- I feel like creating something .....
Crazy Cool Woodblocks
Justin Sanz -- this one is an intaglio print-- but the rest are all woodblocks

These two artists mainly do woodblock printing, but the images they produce are so different from the "traditional" woodblock prints that I am used to seeing. I found these guys when I was wondering around the internet and found this website called http://printmakers.info and it just lists various printmakers and also allows you to have your own website featured on their homepage- just an idea- but it was cool to see some different stuff.

He's the only thing happening in my life
I find that my fear of babies is slowing fading away- that doesn't mean I'll have one- But at least I can now sleep without having dreams that I accidentally dropped my nephew on his face and then having him look like Sloth for the rest of his life-Yep, babies can be cool- as long as I can hand them over to someone else when they shit their pants!

I LOVE CHARBONNEL INKS- THE END!~
"Prostitute"
These two red images are an odd print and detail of my last print pulled this semester...I tried my hand at monoprinting in a subtractive method and I got a little carried away with the solvent, but it's different and I like that about it... and then.....
"Prostitute"
... end of the semester and these are the images that I am most satisfied with and they are altered versions of the original color set- This print is still far from being worked out, I have a text plate to work into the image... there was a bad wax incident that ruined both my carpet at home as well as two fairly decent prints. Oh well- I guess I learned from that one, but not giving up yet- this need to keep torturing the plate further won't go away so I am merely the slave in this process, but I do it gladly and willingly... too bad I kinda have to wait through the whole summer in order to see how things should end.

Enrique Chagoya- printmaker/2d artist @ Stanford University
http://www.kqed.org/.stream/real/tv/productions/spark/artists-orgs/enriquecha.rm.ram
If this link works, all should check out this short video about Chagoya's art and printmaking methods. He has a playful and brutally honest sense of humor that conveys a contemporary satirical sense which is heavily influenced by artists and printmakers of the past (GOYA)-- Plus, check out the new method he used to make the print shown above of our president. Amazing!
