He's the only thing happening in my life

I find that my fear of babies is slowing fading away- that doesn't mean I'll have one- But at least I can now sleep without having dreams that I accidentally dropped my nephew on his face and then having him look like Sloth for the rest of his life-Yep, babies can be cool- as long as I can hand them over to someone else when they shit their pants!

All decked out in black and white w/no place to go

So I just thought I would add some of my other work onto this blog since it is supposed to be about printmaking and art- That and my mom suggested it! Do mom's always know best? Was this a good idea? Who knows- I did it anyways! Maybe I'll add more with color some other time!

I LOVE CHARBONNEL INKS- THE END!~

"Prostitute"
These two red images are an odd print and detail of my last print pulled this semester...I tried my hand at monoprinting in a subtractive method and I got a little carried away with the solvent, but it's different and I like that about it... and then.....
"Prostitute"
... end of the semester and these are the images that I am most satisfied with and they are altered versions of the original color set- This print is still far from being worked out, I have a text plate to work into the image... there was a bad wax incident that ruined both my carpet at home as well as two fairly decent prints. Oh well- I guess I learned from that one, but not giving up yet- this need to keep torturing the plate further won't go away so I am merely the slave in this process, but I do it gladly and willingly... too bad I kinda have to wait through the whole summer in order to see how things should end.

What the Hell?

I finally took a (crappy) pic of this print I did last semester-- Now I'm just wondering what the hell was I thinking when I made this?

Enrique Chagoya- printmaker/2d artist @ Stanford University

http://www.kqed.org/.stream/real/tv/productions/spark/artists-orgs/enriquecha.rm.ram

If this link works, all should check out this short video about Chagoya's art and printmaking methods. He has a playful and brutally honest sense of humor that conveys a contemporary satirical sense which is heavily influenced by artists and printmakers of the past (GOYA)-- Plus, check out the new method he used to make the print shown above of our president. Amazing!

French Bulldog Puppy-
The cutest dog ever---

I will own a bulldog within a year or two- for sure--and it will be the best thing that will ever happen to me-ever. I've wanted an english bulldog longer than I have wanted to graduate from college!

Are you serious? This is how I feel most of the time
Swooshy-woo!--I feel like dancing--- with no arms

My proudest hair moment in quite some time! I think I'll get back there soon- toodles to the normal hair I think- or do I?!

Here are more pics of our actual poster from the DAY THAT WOULD NEVER END

Undergraduate Research Poster Day of Hell

This is my "grant" group- We spent two nights (sorta) working on this poster, got up early on a Friday with no class and spent something like 4 hours sitting on the floor waiting for people to walk by and not talk to us. If it wasn't for the sweet cash, which by now is just a faded memory, this whole deal would have blown the big one. BIG TIME!
